The Varsity Soccer team will be taking on Grace Christian in the 1st round of the VACA tournament tonight at 5:30. Come out and support our team!

The link with indoor information and the registration form is on the athletic website under Team Files. Unfortunately, I do not know the specific time slots that the middle school or JV games will be held. If anyone knows this information, please let me know.

Indoor soccer registration is open and we have the very last spot reserved for us for both a middle school team and a junior varsity team. Please contact me if you are interested in being a team "contact" or "manager" for the middle school team. The initial deposit is already paid for both teams. Also let me know who will be playing indoor soccer this winter on the middle school team.

Hello all,
I hope the school year has started well for you. The season has been a lot of fun so far, but we only have a few weeks left. It's time to start looking ahead to ways for our team to stay connected throughout the offseason.

Varsity Soccer is making a winter indoor team to compete at LU this season and we are hoping to make a team for JV as well. Indoor soccer is a great way to build more chemistry between the players while also keeping their touch fresh in the offseason. I also know that indoor soccer is the most fun I've ever had playing soccer and I'm sure your boys will have similar experiences.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with how indoor soccer works, it's very simple and low commitment. There is one game each week on Saturday. Games are 1 hour long. That's it! There are no practices, so other full time winter sports are completely unaffected. There are 7 games, as well as playoffs

Game Dates: Dec 2, 9, 16, Jan 5, 12, 19, 26, Feb 3-playoffs
To enter a team I need to have a 125.00 deposit in ASAP, then a 550.00 payment is due by November 1st. If a parent would like to step up and manage this part of the process (collecting checks) that would help me tremendously.

If we have 10 players, it's 65$ per player.

Please let us know if your player is interested. If this team is going to happen we'll have to get on the ball very quickly, as the league fills up incredibly fast.

I hope you all are well. Please let me know if anyone needs a ride to the game tomorrow in Roanoke. I'm sure you have already been sorting rides out with other parents, but let me know if I can help you find a ride for your son.

Transition Players

I would like to ask that all of the transition players play in both games tomorrow. If there is any conflict please let me know. Due to injuries on the varsity team, I will be discussing a couple of different options with the coaches about how much playing time some of the transition players will get in each game. Some will get more playing time than usual in the varsity game and may or may not result in less playing time for JV. I do not want to take away any player's JV time, but unfortunately we are short(er) on numbers this week. Thank you for all you have done thus far, and let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Next Monday, September 11th, we will be taking team pictures for all Middle School 7th/8th, JV and Varsity Teams during practice.  Please make sure your athlete has their BLUE uniform with them on Monday.

All games scheduled for next Friday will be Parent Transport as all buses are being used for the Middle School Retreat. This effects Varsity Cross Country and Varsity and JV Soccer.  Varsity Cross Country is at Temple and Varsity and JV Soccer will play RVCS at Hollins Park. Due to the incoming weather, soccer practice for JV, Middle School, and Junior Gryphons has been cancelled for today, Friday, September 1st.
